camping 2010

Last January, Nora and I made plans for our families to camp together near the beach.  My hubby is a farmer and so making summer plans 8 months early is a little dicey.  For some reason though, the 3rd week of August in dependable.  Even though we started the season out almost a month behind, we still managed to have the time to go!!! yipeee!!!  and so, another year of memories.

First, a little tent set up in the living to make sure all is well.  The kids spent the night in the tent and very much enjoyed themselves!

Next up, packing.  We packed most everything the day before and the dogs spent the day in the van trying to not be left behind.

The trip overall was a success. I was cold at night, which will be incentive to buy another sleeping bag or two before our next trip.  Meals went off great, we came home with plenty of leftovers for another few days of dining.  It was nice to slow down and enjoy God's creation together.  I really love the ocean and miss it.  It is fun to share the beach and dunes and sea mist with my kiddos.  I really really enjoy the time with my best friend.  We find much humor in little things that we have in common even living 5 hours away from one another.  We recently bought our sons the exact same shoes (on sale) silly stuff.... :)
