A day at the lake

We have been to two local lakes this summer. I didn't get pictures of the first adventure. We joined Marcy and her clan at Lake Juanita. The kids got to play with their dear friends. I got a lovely visit with my friend and got to enjoy some very awesome camp food...fresh fire grilled salsa, mexican cheese, and beans wrapped in double corn tortillas...oh. my.

A week or so later we set out for a couple more local lakes. Our friends Wayne and Lesa and their little dog Cheri went with us.  This time is was Lake Hyatt which had a great swimming area and playground. Unfortunately the breeze was blowing so the kids didn't stay in too long.  Next to this lake is Howard's prairie, which we drove through and picked up delicious soft serve ice cream cones,  a nice way to end the day!
