I have recently begun to realize something important.
I grew up in a little town, went to day care, and public school, had friends on the block, often visited their homes, and vice a versa.
My kids are growing up on a farm, 40 minutes from town, no kid neighbors, and are being homeschooled.
There are many other differences as well, but these seem like the biggies.
I think this explains why I often feel like a fish out of water.

I hear ya, when you don't grow up this way, it often feels like I'm trying to reinvent the wheel.
Oh the analogies, must be a homeschool mom thing!
