Another blessing to homeschooling, Halloween is almost ignored. I was surprised last year by the amount of time and energy that the classrooms invested into the day. I was quite pleased by how little energy we put into it this year. The kids used costumes from their collection (which is a pretty good size collection). We headed to town for a church harvest party in the afternoon, got some candy. Then ran a few errands, including dinner at Wendy's, which gave free frosties to the kids for wearing their costumes! Then off with the costumes and off to evening church, a lovely way to spend the day.
