a week of stuff

We had a productive school week and the weather has been beautiful for beginning of February. Even nice enough for a few mud pies.

Who is that masked pie maker?
There was also a great event, Ady finally finally lost her FIRST tooth! It was a bottom one. She has had all four front teeth loose for about a year and half. She pulled it herself, she is soooo excited!
Next up was a science experiment. I thought we'd grow some crystals. We are headed into a new unit on earth science, this seemed like a fun way to start off. The recipe is hot water and borax soap. Then using pipecleaners to make a  shape and hang inside on a string and use a Popsicle stick to keep it hanging. Crystals were supposed to form in 24 hours. We have a few, one in particular seems to be doing well, but I wouldn't say they are stunning, so either we needed quite a bit more borax, or a different recipe!

And then there is this little guy, he will turn a year old on the 12th, I guess that will call for ice cream :) the kids really enjoy him. His favorite pass time is playing chase. He often goes into their rooms and chooses something of value then comes out holding it and stands right in front of the owner, which usually brings on great fun. What is great about Vicar is that he changes direction and jumps over furniture. It can be quite the ruckus, but oh! so MUCH fun!

He looks like just a stuffed animal here, how much they grow in a year!
