Sedimentary Rocks part II

Next up, investigating real sedimentary rocks. Looking at how sand and particles are "glued" together.  I ordered a rock/mineral kit from Rainbow resource. So we pulled out the small microscope and magnifying glass and looked at the details.

Next we made sandstone.
Recipe for sandstone
2 c. sand
1 c. cornstarch
1 c. water
cook on stove until combined and thickened, cool, sculpt as wanted, dry.
