My friend Marcy asked last week if we'd like to join her and her two at the falls for a day trip. We readily accepted. However, the night before her car decided to give her fits and so she had to cancel out. Fortunately my other friend Julie had already agreed to join in the adventure with her two girls. And so by 9:30 am we were all loaded in to the van and off to the falls. It takes about 2 hours to get there and the kids travelled marvelously. Considering this was their first time in a vehicle together, I was pleasantly surprised. The falls were beautiful and the weather was perfect.
First, we hiked the loop around the falls, then drove down to the lake for a picnic and a swim. The kids had a marvelous time getting sandy and wet. A stop for pizza on the way home and 2 of the 4 fell asleep. A very pleasant day indeed, hope to have another one soon!
