LOVE snow walks

We took a family walk in the snow this morning. My favorite way to spend a morning! A happy dog running after Jackrabbits. Exploring the spring behind our place and talking of all the possible stories and reasons behind the dynamite explosion of the spring many many many years ago. Was it ranchers? Was it Indians? Was it farmers? Would a sudden earthquake make it come back? Where would the water go? It used to be quite a gusher, where is the water collecting now? Fun things to wonder about.

Hiking up snowy slopes, eating snow, always avoiding the infamous YELLOW snow. Scaling barb wire fences as we cross in and out of property lines. (all friendly, of course!)

And lets not forget the occasional flying snowball!

My angels were a joy this morning, and the rest of the day as well.

We returned home to a roast chicken lunch, a pile of library books to read, snow ice cream for dessert. Naps.

Marcy's Grandma's Recipe for Snow Ice Cream:

1 mixing bowl of new snow
1 tsp. vanilla
2 TBSP sugar
2 drops of food coloring

I hope you have gotten to enjoy your day and share some smiles and giggles with little ones in your life. What a blessed day!
