TGIF!!

Around here, Friday means Science experiments, family fun, family films, and fitness.
Any or all of these things might occur on a given Friday. Today for Science we looked at our fingerprints. By making a dark square with a pencil and rubbing a finger, then using a piece of scotch tape to "lift a print" we got to see clear fingerprints...we all have the same. Whorls.

Next we talked about digestion of fat. We started with water in a jar, added some oil and observed how the oil all sticks together and floats. Then we added some soap, which is supposed to do what Lipase does to fat in our digestive tract. Apparently as we age we don't produce as much which explains some of the more "sensitive" digestive systems.

Next up...pizza for lunch. We have been looking for a favorite homemade crust. I think we might have found it today. Last week I tried a homemade pizza pan crust style, it was good, but not mouth watering. Today's crust is more pizzaria style, it is yeasty and a little crunchy, we all liked it really well.
I let Ady cook sausage and grate cheese, she did a great job. They both helped put toppings on the pizza.

After lunch, a walk with daddy. We got out favorite riding toys and helmets and headed down the road for some sunshine and exercise, felt great!

Tonight, we are planning to watch a Lassie movie, I imagine we will add popcorn to the event. We read Lassie come home this week, and will now watch one of the movies. Looking forward to some more family fun!
