late IS better than never....right?

We went to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom the day after my birthday. My parents joined us for this trip. The kids LOVE staying at hotels. We were fortunate enough to acquire adjoining rooms. which meant that the kids could be put to bed in one room while the tired adults played cards in the other until the chocolate ran out, or our eyes refused to stay open any longer. We play a game called O Shaw, we love it lots and you never know who is going to win. Only Kevin is brave enough to keep score, although he always challenges us to dare to audit his scorekeeping ...we wouldn't dare. If you have played this game you already know that an audit would be near impossible!

Ady and the Walrus. The one animal show we missed was the Walrus show, I was pretty sad about this. We did get to visit this friendly fellow who clapped and clicked for the kids. I think they now know how big a Walrus is.
The Elephant show was by far the best one. Here the kids are holding a treat for the elephant and are waiting to deposit it into the tip of her trunk. All the kids in the audience got to come down and play tug of war with her, she won of course, but they had a fabulous time doing it!


The reason we missed the Walrus show? A little cooling off and resting between tromps across the park to get to the various shows...which were all worth it, of course!
