Hiking in our Backyard

We are blessed to have many many many acres behind us to hike around in.

First, we saw this year's owlets, the momma was sitting there too, but I took one too many steps to get closer and so missed the picture, but this is still a sweet one.

Then there's running and running with no end in sight.

Exploring the sage, Anslow loves to surprise the jackrabbits.

Indian walls.

If only they could talk! Oh the stories they would tell of the settlers crossing there on the Applegate trail.

Rock throwing. Is it possible to be so near a pond, and NOT throw rocks in? Especially when there are cow pie targets?

Checking bird feeders from this winter.

And that was our happy Saturday morning. When we got back home (Caiden won of course.) The kids played outside for another hour lovin' the sunshine. I made french bread for our grilled cheese sandwiches to go with tomato soup. Followed by a nap and gearing up for errands in town and evening church. What a blessed day!
