Our neighbors behind us (10 minutes of gravel hills) had their annual picnic BBQ today. It was the perfect day for it. Absolutely sunny, breezy and warm, just right. The kids got to play in the shallow pond. Caiden has been taking his dump truck everywhere lately, good thing it is built well! Adyson followed happily along, I'm glad we brought the boots, should've brought their suits, but they compromised okay. Then we went for a long walk on the place and saw Turkeys and another beautiful pond, the kids were great troopers and kept right up to us. We saw red winged blackbirds, lizards, (if you look close at the pic of ady on the rocks, you'll see the lizard that she didn't notice) kilbies, sage blooms, lots of other wild flowers and ancient fenceposts from 3 generations ago. All in all a relaxing lovely sunday afternoon.
